In the third edition of ComodoVision: Consumer, host and Comodo product manager Kim Leone discusses the outbreak of recent “rogue anti-malware” attacks, a vicious type of viral attack. In a somewhat ironic twist, pop-ups begin to appear on a user’s PC telling them that their computer is infected with a virus of some kind, but they can download, for free, an antivirus program that will clean out their PC. Of course, the alleged “antivirus program” is itself malware, designed by hackers to invade your PC. Also discussed: LivePCSupport, Comodo’s new way to access 24/7, hands-free expert tech support. Be sure to stay tuned for our light take on the current “tech support” experience.
